Filter by vegetarian, vegan, halal and other diets. Directions, the address, and a screen to show the taxi driver. Bookings are made on each restaurant's own site.
Answer at the Torii, Draw an Omikuji
At the shrine, answer questions about Japan's gods and history before the torii gate. Answer correctly in a row and the gate opens: your visit is recorded and one light of Toku (virtue) is kindled. Then draw an Omikuji to receive Matsuri Token Points (MTC Points), which you can use for experience and event bookings, Shop purchases and crowdfunding pledges.
Emergency Mode (iOS)
Distance and directions to the nearest shelter, what to do for each kind of disaster, official alerts, an offline board and an SOS signal — peace of mind while you're in Japan.
Questions, answered
Is it free?
Yes — the app is free (iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later). Experiences and products cost what they cost; a booking fee of 5% by card or 1% with crypto is added, and you see the total before you pay.
Can I use it on Android or a computer?
There's no Android app yet. The web app at matsuri.group has the same experiences to book and the same tickets.
Which languages does it support?
English, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 한국어, ไทย, Tiếng Việt, Norsk and Español. Emergency guidance comes in the same nine.
How do payment and tickets work?
Pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex), with crypto (SOL or MTC), or with MTC Points you've collected. Your ticket arrives in the app as a QR code — show it at the venue or meeting point. Each experience shows its cancellation policy before you book.
What are MTC Points?
Points you collect by visiting shrines and joining events, and use in the app for bookings, Shop purchases and crowdfunding pledges. They are not an investment.
