"I'm not confident in my English, but I'd love to talk with people from all over the world." — This is an evening in Shinjuku Sanchome, made just for you. This isn't a bar-hopping event. We reserve an entire café bar (or a dedicated area within one), settle in with a drink in hand, and let a single conversation unfold slowly. Coming alone is perfectly fine. We provide name tags and "Talk Theme Cards," and if the conversation ever stalls, our staff will gently step in to bridge the gap. Turn over just one card, and even strangers find the conversation flowing naturally. Includes one drink and snacks. What remains after the toast is a conversation with someone of a different nationality and mother tongue — one you'll want to continue tomorrow.
How about starting your Saturday morning wrapped in the aroma of coffee, laughing together with people from all over the world? The venue is a spacious, comfortable Starbucks, such as the one at Shinjuku Southern Terrace. Participation is free — you simply cover your own food and drinks. It's a simple, easygoing style. English, Japanese, or any other language is welcome. Conversation topics are completely open, so there's no need to worry about "what should I talk about." Drop by casually on your way to shopping or an outing. This is Matsuri's most relaxed Meetup.
"I'm not so confident in my English, but I want to make friends from all over the world" — this is the night we want to hand the mic to you. We've booked out an entire party room at a karaoke venue in neon-drenched Kabukicho, for a night of uninhibited singing with a wonderfully international crowd. Anime songs, Western hits, J-POP — anything goes. The moment the intro starts playing, language skills — and singing skills — stop mattering. Shake a tambourine, shout along to the chorus of a song you've never heard — with "singing" as your common language, a total stranger becomes a friend by the second song. That's the real magic of this gathering. **Free-flow soft drinks included**, so you can keep the energy up all the way to the final song without worrying about your glass running dry.
