Matsuri Launch Party — A House Music Night in Ebisu

To celebrate the release of the Matsuri app, we're throwing a house music party at BLISS EBISU. In a bar where light spills through latticed windows, six artists carry the sound from late afternoon into the night. Come as you are — you won't leave alone. First-timers very welcome.

Matsuri is an app for experiencing Japanese culture. From parties where people from all over the world meet, to tea ceremony, sumo, sake and night walks — find what you like and book it right in the app. And you do it together with travelers from around the world and people who live in Tokyo.

Inside Matsuri you'll find cultural experience classes, gatherings where people from many countries meet, guided tours of the city, and a shop full of goods from Japan — many ways to enjoy Japan, all in one app. Visitors go beyond the usual sightseeing spots and get to know Japan more deeply. People living in Japan spend time with the world right next to them and discover a real world you can't get from the news. People who shared a table, from different countries, end up wanting to meet again. That's what Matsuri is aiming for.

We're also building a model where revenue flows back to the local businesses and people who create each experience.

A bon-odori circle and a dance floor are doing the same thing: strangers moving to the same rhythm. It starts at 4pm on Sunday while it's still light outside the lattice windows. As the sun goes down, the low end gets a little deeper. At 10pm you head back out into Ebisu with just the right afterglow. Close to the booth, close to each other.
