Jon&Coo Inc. — Matsuri Service Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Matsuri cultural experience booking platform (website matsuri.group and mobile application, collectively the "Service") operated by Jon&Coo Inc. ("the Company", "we", "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

1. Definitions & Applicability

  1. "User" means any individual or entity that views, uses, applies for, purchases, or participates in the Service.
  2. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
  3. Where specific terms (event rules, community guidelines, listing terms, etc.) exist, they take precedence over these Terms.
  4. We may amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on our website.

2. Description of Service

  1. The Service includes cultural experience bookings, tours, festival and event participation, online/in-person classes, merchandise (physical and digital), community features, and subscriptions.
  2. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service without prior notice.

3. Account Registration

  1. You must keep your registration information truthful, accurate, and up to date.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for damages arising from unauthorized use by third parties.
  3. Minors require parental consent. We may request identity or age verification.

4. Booking & Order Confirmation

  1. Bookings are confirmed upon completion of payment (or receipt confirmation for bank transfers).
  2. We may be unable to accept bookings due to capacity limits or changes in availability.

5. Pricing & Payment

  1. Prices are displayed inclusive of tax. Shipping, processing fees, and local expenses are stated on each page where applicable.
  2. Payment methods: Credit Card (Stripe), PayPal, Bank Transfer (availability varies by product).
  3. Payment timing: Immediate at time of order. Subscriptions are charged on renewal date. Bank transfers must be received by the specified deadline.
  4. Sensitive card information is never stored on our servers; it is processed securely in PCI DSS-compliant environments.

6. Delivery & Fulfillment

  1. Physical goods: Shipped within the period stated on the product page after payment confirmation.
  2. Digital goods: Delivered immediately or via email after payment.
  3. Experiences, tours, events: Provided at the scheduled date and time.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  1. User-initiated cancellations and refund eligibility follow the specific conditions on each product/event page.
  2. Organizer-initiated cancellations (minimum participant threshold not met, weather, safety, etc.) receive a full refund.
  3. Community-related fees (membership fees, community participation fees, community benefits) are non-refundable after purchase.
  4. Refunds are processed via the original payment method within our standard processing period.

8. Subscription Management

  1. You may cancel subscriptions at any time from "Subscription Management" in your account. Cancellation before the day prior to the next renewal prevents further charges.
  2. No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

9. User Content

  1. Copyright in user-submitted content (reviews, photos, text, etc.) remains with the user.
  2. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for service operation, promotion, and improvement.
  3. We may remove content that infringes third-party rights.

10. Prohibited Conduct

  1. Violations of law, false statements, unauthorized access, ticket resale, dangerous behavior, harassment, system disruption, and infringement of third-party rights are prohibited.
  2. Non-payment of local expenses and non-compliance with participation requirements (age, health, equipment) are prohibited.

11. Travel, Safety & Insurance

  1. You are responsible for your own health, safety, equipment, insurance, and travel documents (passport, visa, vaccinations, etc.) when participating in tours, experiences, and events.
  2. Itineraries may change due to weather, transport, or venue conditions. We exercise reasonable care for safety.

12. Intellectual Property

All content (text, images, designs, logos, software, etc.) in the Service is owned by us or our licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or distribution is prohibited.

13. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Exclusion of Antisocial Forces

  1. You represent and warrant that you are not a member of organized crime groups or associated antisocial forces.
  2. We may terminate your account without notice upon discovering any violation.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.

16. Limitation of Liability

  1. We are not liable for indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits.
  2. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence).

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, government orders, power outages, or communication failures.

18. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from in-app settings or at matsuri.group/accounts/delete/. Data is erased within 30 days of deletion (except where retention is legally required).

19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Physical: Returnable within 14 days if unopened. Defective items exchanged/refunded at our expense.

Experiences/Events: Per individual conditions. Full refund for organizer-initiated cancellations.
Community-related fees are non-refundable.
Subscription Cancellation
Cancel anytime from account settings. No charges after cancellation before next renewal date.
System Requirements
Latest versions of major browsers (Chrome/Edge/Safari/Firefox). iOS/Android apps per store requirements.
Cooling-Off Period
The cooling-off period does not apply to mail-order transactions under Japanese law.
